God makes it clear that it will cost everything to live in a true love relationship with Him and one another. He does not hide it in the “small print” for, to Him, it is not something to be avoided or minimised, but embraced. As God has shown us from the beginning, sacrifice is at the foundation of true love. God invites us to live in freedom – freedom from self – and to exist for the sake of others. That is the cost of love relationship.
