Jeremiah #12: Now and Not Yet

Simon Kostas

God is always speaking, guiding and correcting but are you really listening, allowing His words to transform you from the inside? Are you fulfilling every word God has said to you? In Jeremiah we see a man who was always asking and seeking to know what was on God’s heart and to obey, for the sheer joy and privilege of living in relationship with God. God filled his days and was his focus in the midst of all his circumstances. Living for God is a “long obedience in the same direction” but it is not a monotonous marathon as every day is a new episode in the faith adventure of living in love with God which is both now and not yet.
