It is only because of the redeeming and sanctifying work of Jesus Christ that it is possible for any of us to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. But that in many ways is just the start of us being the adopted sons and daughters of God that we are through Him. For as the Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 8, it is those that are led by the Holy Spirit who are God’s children. Through Jesus and His gift of the Holy Spirit we can and should all be living as God’s children who listen, respond and obey in love and faith.
