Come, follow Me

Simon Kostas

This simple invitation, the essence of Jesus’ most common command to people in the Gospels, is one most of us know well. Not only does it describe our own personal experience when we first committed our life to living in love with God, it is also the invitation that Jesus extends to us regularly, repeating it again and again. He asks us to leave the known and familiar to follow Him as He keeps leading us towards God.

Jesus invites each of us by name and then awaits our response. When, like the Disciples, we obey Him we free Him to continue the miracle of His transforming power in and through our lives.
