In the time of Jeremiah, as now, there were many people purporting to give Godly guidance and input, yet God expected His people to recognise and respond to His voice. As the Apostle Paul highlights in Ephesians, part of being a body of committed believers is doing all we can to help each other to grow and build one another up, so that we grow into a mature body who reflect all that Jesus taught and embodied, loving one another as we are loved. It is a responsibility we should all take seriously but not approach fearfully.
